THE BEST HAVEN POOL WE’VE FOUND – SPLASHAWAY BAY AT HÂFAN Y MOR!

If your kids are anything like ours, then the swimming pool is the most important thing when you’re away! And we think we’ve found the best Haven Parks pool ever!!!

To be honest, calling it a pool is doing it a disservice – it’s more of a waterpark! And it’s absolutely fantastic!!! To start with, you’ve got a zero-entry wave pool, with sprinklers at the edge, and a small waterfall. Add in 3 – yes 3!!! – huge flumes, and a four person racer slide! (Watch out! It’s fast!!!)

Then there’s a large bubble pool/hot tub, which is next to a small lazy river! There’s in-water seating for relaxing right where you get in for the lazy river, and on the other side of the lazy river “flow” is a pool with another waterfall and fish sprinklers! Over into the corner is another pool, with yet another waterfall, a water sprinkling mushroom, and a giant, elevated water bucket that dumps its load every few minutes!

There’s also a sizable toddler area, with more sprinklers, some water play equipment, and a tiny toddler-sized slide! (Though having big kids, we didn’t use that bit!)

There were plenty of changing facilities, though as with a lot of pools, it could get a bit crazy at the end of the day when everyone wanted to leave at once! We went off-peak (hooray for home education!), it never once felt busy – there was always plenty of room for swimming about, and we never waited more than 60 seconds for a slide or flume! The kids thought it was just brilliant!

The whole place has a brightly coloured “penguins at the seaside” theme, which sounds weird written down, but as you can see from the photos, it works!!! It’s fun and joyful, and really adds to the holiday feeling of being in the park. The whole building is light and airy – and warm! (Super important when have teeny ones, or you’re wandering from pool to pool! Who wants to shiver?!)

We’d go back to Hâfan y Mor purely for the pool! (In fact, we already have once!) The pools in Haven parks are always good, but this one is a whole other level of fun! The kids – even the teenagers – clock watched, every single day, waiting for our pool slot time! If you’ve got pool loving kids, put Hâfan y Mor on your to-do list!!! You won’t regret it!
