You’ll know from a previous post that we love our Korxx building blocks – they’re just brilliant for building with!!! Well, the lovely people at Korxx were kind enough to send us some of their adorable beach toy range before our last trip, so we could give them a whirl while we were frolicking on the beach! (And by the pool!!!) Korxx beach and bath toys are the same colourful, chunky cork as the building blocks, but with a fun sea theme – as you can see, we received a selection of fish, whales and sea creatures, plus a yellow submarine and a fun 3-piece boat. (The funnels pop out for easy packing!) And being made of cork, they float – just perfect for water play and splashing about!
As you’d expect from Korxx, the quality is excellent – the shapes all held up well to being thrown around the pool and dunked under water! And sand didn’t seem to affect them at all either. Very robust!!! Plus, they dried out pretty quickly too, which was handy for getting repacked!
As much as we loved the cute little boat, we ended up liking the smaller shapes better. Not only were they fab for floating in the pool for the kids to chase, they were also stackable, providing bonus entertainment during shady breaks from the sun! They totally lend themselves to small world play too – a good variety of creatures could have your kiddo acting out all sorts of beachy and under the sea scenarios in their downtime!
The toys are incredibly light – they didn’t really add any weight to our packing, so they’re brilliant if you have a tiny weight limit for your bags, or if you’re wanting your little ones to have them in their carry on! And as I said, the smaller shapes can do double (triple?!) duty as stackers and small world characters, which is a huge bonus when it comes to travel toys! The biggest bonus though, is the fact that they’re super eco-friendly and sustainable – plus you’re not going to be leaving a trail of broken plastic on the beach!
We’ll definitely be packing our Korxx beach toys for future trips! And we’ll also be getting them out when we get our paddling pool out too!!! (And in the bath!) They’re a whole lot of fun, not to mention super cute!
