I don’t think it’s a secret that we love the Over and Under series of books – we’ve reviewed loads of them over the years! They’re really fab for home educators, bringing educational stories to your nature studies or ecosystems topics.
They’re living books, so brilliant for those following the Charlotte Mason method, and the lovely, gentle tales mean they’re great for families using the Waldorf Steiner approach too. Not to mention, several of them tie in beautifully to certain Exploring Nature With Children weeks! They’re all super informative, despite being classed as fiction, and are a great addition to your homeschool library!
Over and Under the Pond –

This story shows the wonderful wildlife that can be found in a pond ecosystem, from the biggest moose to the smallest beetles and larvae, and is inspired by a pond in the Adirondack Mountains. See our full review of Over and Under the Pond here, or buy from amazon.com or amazon.co.uk.
Over and Under the Waves –

This tale is set on the Pacific Coast of California, and details the wildlife seen on a kayaking trip around a kelp forest, including a huge whale! See our full review of Over and Under the Waves here, or buy from amazon.com or amazon.co.uk.
Over and Under the Rainforest –

This book is set in the Costa Rican rainforest and highlights all the amazing plants and creatures that can be found there – sloths, tree frogs and monkeys abound! See our full review of Over and Under the Rainforest here, or buy from amazon.com or amazon.co.uk.
Over and Under the Canyon –

This tale is set in the Southern California Desert, and shows how a dry and apparently barren landscape is actually teeming with life! (The kangaroo rats were a huge hit with our kids!) See our full review of Over and Under the Canyon here, or buy from amazon.com or amazon.co.uk.
As you can see, we think they’re all fab! Fingers crossed there’ll be another one out soon!!!
