THE ENGLISH HERITAGE MEMBERSHIP BONUS YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE!!!

We’ve posted before about how getting an English Heritage annual membership can save you money if you’re seeing the sights in the UK. However, saving money isn’t the only good thing about getting a family membership!

Our kids were delighted to learn about an extra bonus they got as part of our family annual membership – free collectible badges! (Otherwise known as buttons, if you’re from the other side of the pond!) When we first signed up for our membership, the kids were each given a lanyard and got to choose a badge to attach to it. Now, at each location we visit, they get given or get to choose another badge for their collection. They even got special “Lunar Learner” badges when we visited Stonehenge, as some research was being done while we were there on whether a lunar alignment was reflected in Stonehenge’s design!

The special “Lunar Learner” badge

The badges are super clever, and simply click together around the lanyard, and there’s loads to collect! The kids have collectively got 8 different ones between them so far, all covering different time periods, such as prehistory, the Georgians, and medieval times. And there’s loads more still to get!

The full collection!

They’re all adorable, and the kids think they have total Horrible Histories vibes, which is a huge positive in our house! (If you don’t know what Horrible Histories is, watch this!) The badges are a fab way to involve kids in history, and are super fun – and you know how we’re all about making learning fun around here! – so they’re an absolute winner as far as we’re concerned!

Let me know if your kids have got any English Heritage badges!
