Hi! I’m Emma,
mama of the “B” family, and chaos co-ordinator (and content creator!) for A Different Way To Go. I’ve got 3 exhausting, mayhem-making kids – R, who’s 13, F, who’s 10 and T, who’s 6.
We’re raising our kids a bit differently – experience is the key to it all! We do loads of trips and travel, so there’s plenty of seeing with our own eyes (not to mention touching with our own hands!), and when we’re not out-and-about on adventures, we believe in high quality books, toys and learning resources for the kids to explore at home! Everything is very hands-on and a lot of fun!!!
We’re a home educating family, but we don’t mind if you aren’t!!! Everyone’s kids are different, and everyone’s doing the best for their particular kids, right? (Though saying that, our kids are a little more different than most! We’ve got some neurodiversity mixed up in here, and that’s what started us down our “experience” version of life.) We like to think we’re a little bit worldschooly, (even though we’re not full-time travellers), and we’re most definitely child-led and follow the kids’ interests wherever that takes us!
